• Co-Habitation Agreements: (also known as “living together agreements”) are written agreements between adults who live together, but who do not intend to marry. They are valid and enforceable when signed by both parties, unlike pre-nuptial agreements, which only become enforceable after the marriage of the contracting parties. When properly drafted, these agreements preserve the separate property of each of the parties, identify and regulate joint expenses and the acquisition, title to, and the disposition of jointly acquired assets. They can also prevent unwarranted financial and property claims by one party against the property and estate of the other party.
